Terms of Use

Welcome to CVCrafter. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and CVCrafter ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the CVCrafter mobile application ("App"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using CVCrafter, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not download, install, or use the App.

You represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Your continued use of the App following any updates or modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

2. Description of Service

CVCrafter is an iOS application that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize resumes and CVs for job applications. The App provides the following core services:

• ATS Compatibility Analysis: Users upload their CV/resume and paste a job description. The App analyzes the resume against the job posting and provides an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility score.
• Missing Keywords Detection: The App identifies critical keywords and phrases from the job description that are missing from the user's resume.
• AI-Optimized CV Generation: Using advanced AI technology, the App generates a professionally optimized version of the user's resume tailored to the target position.
• Cover Letter Generation: The App creates a personalized, compelling cover letter based on the user's CV and the target job description.

The App processes CV content through the Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered analysis and generation. All processing occurs in real-time, and CV content is not permanently stored on our servers after analysis is complete.

3. Account Registration

CVCrafter offers multiple ways to access the App:

3.1 Guest Mode

You may use the App without creating an account. Guest users receive 1 free lifetime analysis, which is tracked locally on the device. Guest mode provides full access to all analysis features for a single use.

3.2 Registered Accounts

To access additional features and subscription plans, you may create an account using one of the following methods through Firebase Authentication:

• Email and Password: Register with a valid email address and a secure password.
• Sign in with Apple: Use your Apple ID for quick and private account creation.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to notify us immediately at support@cvcrafter.co of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

4.1 Auto-Renewable Subscription Plans

CVCrafter offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans:

• Weekly Plan (cvcrafter_weekly): Provides 3 analyses per day, billed on a weekly recurring basis.
• Monthly Plan (cvcrafter_monthly): Provides 5 analyses per day, billed on a monthly recurring basis.
• Yearly Plan (cvcrafter_yearly): Provides 5 analyses per day, billed on an annual recurring basis.

4.2 Payment and Billing

All subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store and charged to your Apple ID account. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
• All prices are displayed in your local currency as determined by the App Store.
• CVCrafter does not directly collect, store, or process any payment or credit card information.

4.3 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge will be applied to your Apple ID account within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period, at the same subscription rate.

4.4 Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through:

• Your iPhone's Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
• The App Store app > your profile > Subscriptions

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

CVCrafter cannot process refunds directly. All refund requests must be submitted through Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple.

4.5 Free Trial

If a free trial period is offered for any subscription plan, any unused portion of the free trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is typically available only once per Apple ID.

5. Free Tier

All users, including those without a registered account, receive 1 free lifetime analysis. This free analysis includes full access to all App features: ATS compatibility scoring, missing keyword detection, AI-optimized CV generation, and cover letter generation.

The free analysis usage is tracked locally on the device. No account registration is required to use the free analysis. Once the free analysis has been used, a subscription is required for additional analyses.

6. Usage Limits

Each subscription plan includes specific daily analysis limits as outlined in Section 4.1. The following usage policies apply:

• Daily analysis limits reset every 24 hours based on UTC time.
• Unused daily analyses do not roll over to the next day.
• A server-side daily usage cap of 5 analyses per day is enforced across all plans as an absolute maximum.
• A rate limit of 10 requests per minute per user is enforced to ensure fair usage and system stability.
• We reserve the right to modify usage limits with reasonable notice to users.

Attempting to circumvent or manipulate usage limits is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension or termination.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CVCrafter only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following uses are strictly prohibited:

• Misuse and abuse: Using the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App's functionality or interfere with other users' use of the App.
• Reverse engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or attempting to derive the source code of the App or any underlying AI models.
• Automated access: Using bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any other automated systems to access, interact with, or extract data from the App.
• Fraudulent content: Generating false, misleading, or intentionally deceptive resume or cover letter content, including fabricating qualifications, experience, or credentials.
• Unauthorized processing: Uploading, processing, or analyzing another person's CV or personal information without their explicit written consent.
• Circumvention: Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent usage limits, subscription requirements, rate limits, or any security measures implemented in the App.
• Malicious content: Uploading malicious files, viruses, or content designed to harm the App, its infrastructure, or other users.
• Commercial exploitation: Reselling, redistributing, or commercially exploiting the App's services, your account access, or AI-generated outputs without our prior written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to its design, graphics, user interface, code, AI models, algorithms, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to CVCrafter and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of the original CV/resume content that you upload to the App. By uploading your content, you grant CVCrafter a limited, temporary license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services.

AI-generated outputs (optimized CVs and cover letters) are provided for your personal use. You may use these outputs for your own job applications and professional purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the AI-generated outputs.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

9.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CVCRAFTER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, CVCrafter does not warrant or guarantee that:

• AI-generated content will be 100% accurate, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose;
• ATS compatibility scores will accurately predict outcomes with any particular applicant tracking system;
• Use of the App will result in job interviews, job offers, or employment;
• The App will be available at all times without interruption or error;
• AI-generated resumes or cover letters will meet the specific requirements of any employer or job posting.

You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in any job application. CVCrafter is not responsible for the outcomes of any job application process.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CVCRAFTER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to CVCrafter through the App in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

CVCrafter reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without prior notice, for any of the following reasons:

• Violation of these Terms or any applicable laws;
• Conduct that is harmful to the App, other users, or CVCrafter's business interests;
• Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity;
• Extended periods of inactivity (with reasonable notice).

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Any active subscriptions must be canceled through Apple to avoid continued billing.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@cvcrafter.co. Upon account deletion, all associated personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

CVCrafter reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page;
• Notify users through an in-app notification;
• Post the revised Terms on our website at cvcrafter.co/terms.

Your continued use of the App after the revised Terms have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and cancel any active subscriptions.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Turkey.
